Established in 1963, this factory is one of the region's public enterprises. Renowned for mining the island's premium kaolin clay, it produces daily tableware and exquisite ceramic artworks for local use. Having garnered special attention from the Presidential Office as an official supplier of ceremonial gifts, it holds the distinction of being the Republic of China's sole “Imperial Kiln.”
Additionally, in collaboration with Kinmen Distillery, porcelain vessels were produced to house Kinmen Kaoliang liquor, becoming coveted collectibles among connoisseurs worldwide. From 1967 to 1982, commemorative liquor bottles for celebrations, military campaigns, and festivals were developed and manufactured, alongside standard bulk containers of 1, 2, 3, and 5 kilogram capacities, reaching peak popularity. From 1983 to 1985, it collaborated with the National Palace Museum's Technology Division and the Taiwan Handicraft Research Institute to produce antique-style art pieces. Between 1986 and 1995, it also manufactured various liquor bottles for the Taiwan Provincial Monopoly Bureau, achieving an annual production capacity exceeding two million units.
Translated with DeepL.com (free version)Recently, to elevate the artistic essence of the Imperial Kiln, renowned domestic artists and ceramic masters have been invited to reside at the factory and guide creative production, enhancing the artistic quality of our products. Through custom-themed wine collections pairing “Imperial Kiln porcelain with fine wines,” we are expanding our market reach and re-establishing the operational peak of the “Imperial Kiln.” Additionally, our facility houses a ceramic museum showcasing thousands of masterpieces and replicas of ancient bronze and ceramic treasures from the Palace Museum. We cordially invite fellow enthusiasts to appreciate these collections.
This factory is affiliated with the Kinmen County Government.
